Q. Michael, tell us a bit about Cosmetic Dental?

Cosmetic Dental was setup specifically with the aim of giving people nice smiles so they can look and feel good about themselves. Before we build a persons smile we do all the basic ground work and general dentistry first, this ensures their new smile will last a long time.

Q. What can Cosmetic Dental do for you?

For me it all goes back to early childhood when I broke a front tooth and had to go to the family dentist in Auckland. Unfortunately it was mishandled, I received the wrong treatment and overall it was a very bad job. Having had that experience I wanted to create a practice where we strive to provide our patients with the best care that means getting the job done right.

Q. How do new patients find you?

 

This is really interesting, in days gone by it was the Yellow Pages but as time has gone on people have become more computer savvy, we have found that the internet and Google search is the main way we generate new patients.
Q. Why use Search Engine Optimiation?
We found that the more we invested into search engine optimisation the more the phones began to ring! We began to monitor our Google optimisation results and the statistics proved that it was a success which is why we pursued it more.
Q. Were you skeptical about SEO?
We always had some kind of reservations, we had tried other companies before who had made big promises, charged a lot and didn’t deliver. However what I did find before we used A+ was that they had quite a few sites on the first page already. After some research we found that they actually did what they said they would for other clients, the proof was there so we decided to go for it and they delivered the goods quite quickly, in fact well within six months.
Q. What are your future plans for online marketing?

I think online marketing is definitely the future for us in terms of external marketing. We are definitely going to drop other areas of marketing we are currently use to really focus on SEO dentist. I think that as time goes on more people are going to be using the Internet so search engine optimisation is going to be far more important.

Q. Why use both Google AdWords and SEO?”

We want to be as effective as possible and we want to always keep up with the market and stay one step ahead of our competitors. People that search on Google want relevant information quickly, they don’t want to search through pages and pages of results. They will look at the first page and maybe the second page if they are really looking.  This is why we find its important to use both paid advertising and organic search results to maximise our chances of being found online.

Q. What advice do you have for fellow business owners?
The first thing is to get the right people to do dentistry SEO because we wasted a lot of time and money on people that didn’t deliver. Secondly once you’ve found that person try and test different campaigns and once you’ve found one that’s getting good results expand on it.
